Forest Gardens

Forest gardens are food production systems that mimic naturally occurring forest ecosystems and, in addition to the many different nuts, fruits, leaves and herbs, fulfill many other functions: local recreation, local climate and species protection, community connection and much more.

Together we will discover the theory behind forest gardens and shed light on their potentials and challenges. Afterwards, we will try to plan exemplary forest garden areas on the festival grounds in small groups.

Do you have an area in mind which would be suitable for a forest garden? Feel free to send us a draft of it in advance: waldgarten@janun-goettingen.de
