Queer & feminist perspectives on agriculture

Gender, sexuality and agriculture – how are they related? In this introductory workshop, we will look at how our current agriculture is shaped by gender and sexuality: Who owns the farm? Who drives the tractor and who cooks lunch? What are the experiences of women and queers in agriculture?

We will take a look at various examples of queer and feminist self-organization in agriculture and brainstorm ways to make agriculture open and accessible to everyone.

The workshop will be led by Jell (they/them). Jell is part of the Emancipatory Agricultural Network (ELAN) and has launched the zine "Queere LandLust". Their work focuses on gender relations in agriculture.
