1,5 Grad heißt: Lützi bleibt!

Macarena macht gerade ein Praktikum bei der BUNDjugend Niedersachsen und im JANUN Landesbüro in Hannover. Sie kommt aus Chile. Hier berichtet sie auf deutsch, englisch und spanisch von der Großdemonstration am 23. April in Lützerath.

PROTEST IN LÜTZERATH

Anlässlich der Erweiterung des Tagebaus Garzweiler wurde für diesen Samstag zu einer Großdemonstration in Lützerath aufgerufen, um die Unzufriedenheit mit den Entscheidungen der Regierung und ihrer mangelnden Rücksichtnahme auf die Umwelt und die Bevölkerung zu unterstreichen. Das Ziel? Dass der Widerstand das Dorf retten und die Kohle im Boden halten kann.

Aktivität

Der Protest begann am Ortsrand von Lützerath, wo sich schätzungsweise 2.000 Menschen beteiligten, organisiert von Gruppen wie Greenpeace, Fridays for future, BUNDjugend, Antifaschistische Gruppen und Anwohnende.

Die Demonstration begann um 13:30 Uhr, wobei Hymnen wie "Lützi bleibt", "Sag mir, wie Demokratie aussieht? So sieht Demokratie aus!", "Anti, anti, antikapitalistisch" und andere. Wir marschierten die Straße zum Camp in Lützerath entlang, vorbei an der Abrisskante, beobachteten die interne Organisation des Lagers und endeten vor der Bühne, wo wir Aktivisten aus verschiedenen Teilen der Welt, wie der Ukraine, Kolumbien und Mapuches aus Lateinamerika, sowie Live-Auftritten von Sängern und Tänzern lauschten.

Zuvor

versammelten sich die BUNDjugend Niedersachsen und fridays for future Hannover am eigens für die Demonstration eingerichteten "Busbahnhof" an der L19, um gemeinsam mit insgesamt 100 Teilnehmer*innen zum Protest zu fahren. Unterwegs wurde das Bergwerk gezeigt und der Organisator erklärte das Ziel der Aktion. Wir spielten Spiele wie "Never have I ever", "Ninja", und sangen Demolieder und zeitgenössische Songs, um die Stimmung aufzuheizen.

Persönliche Eindrücke

Es war beeindruckend den Grad der Motivation und Organisation, die Vielfalt der Umweltorganisationen und der Teilnehmenden zu sehen. Die gesamte Aktion verlief friedlich, unfallfrei und sicher. Alle hatten das gleiche Ziel: das Dorf Lützerath zu retten und den Kohleabbau zu stoppen, weil er dem Planeten ökologischen Schaden zufügt.

LÜTZERATH PROTEST

Due to the expansion of the Garzweiler coal mine, this Saturday a call was made for activists to demonstrate toward the Lützerath camp, supporting the discontent with the government decisions and it’s lack of concern for the environment and the population. The objective? That the resistance can save the village and keep the coal in the ground1.

Activity

The protest began on the outskirts of Lützerath, where an estimated 3,500 people participated, organized by groups such as Greenpeace, fridays for future, BUNDjugend, Antifascist Action and residents.

The demonstration started at 1:30 pm, where you can hear hymns such as “Lützi remains”, “Tell me what democracy looks like? This is how democracy looks like!”, “Anti, anti, anticapitalism” and others. We marched along the road to the Lützerath camp, passing next to the demolition edge and inside the camp, observing the internal organization of the camp, and ended in front of the stage listening to activists from different parts of the world, such as Ukraine, Colombia and Mapuches from Latin America, as well as live performances by singers and dancers.

BUNDjugend Niedersachsen and fridays for future hannover gathered at the “bus station” on L19, which especially was set op for the demonstration, to go together to the protest, with a total of 100 participants. Along the way, the mine was shown and the organizer said the objective of the activity. We played games like “Never have I ever”, “Ninja”, and singing fight hymns and contemporary music, to heat up the mood.

Personal impressions

It was impressive to see the level of motivation and organization, the diversity of environmental organizations and the participation in each of them. That the whole activity was peacefully, accident free and safe. All of them moved by the same goal: rescue the town of Lützerath and stop coal mining because of the ecological damage it causes to the planet.

Debido a la ampliación de la mina de carbón de Garzweiler, este sábado se convocó a activistas a manifestarse hacia el campamento de Lützerath, apoyando el descontento con las decisiones del gobierno y su despreocupación por el medio ambiente y la población. ¿El objetivo? Que la resistencia pueda salvar el pueblo y mantener el carbón bajo tierra.

Actividad

La protesta comenzó en las afueras de Lützerath, donde se calcula que participaron unas 3.500 personas, organizadas por grupos como Greenpeace, fridays for future, BUNDjugend, Acción Antifascista y residentes.

La manifestación comenzó a las 13:30 horas, donde se escucharon gritos como "Lützi permanece", "¿Dime cómo es la democracia? ¡Así es como se ve la democracia!", "Anti, anti, anticapitalismo" y otros. Marchamos por el camino hacia el campamento de Lützerath, pasando junto a la orilla de la demolición y dentro del campamento, observando la organización interna del mismo, y terminamos frente al escenario escuchando a activistas de diferentes partes del mundo como Ucrania, Colombia y Mapuches de América Latina, así como espectáculos en vivo de cantantes y bailarines.

BUNDjugend de Baja Sajonia y fridays for future Hannover se reunieron en la estación de autobuses L19, que se habilitó especialmente para la manifestación, para ir juntos a la protesta, con un total de 100 participantes. En el camino se mostró la mina y el organizador dijo el objetivo de la actividad. Jugamos a juegos como "Nunca nunca", "Ninja", y cantamos himnos de lucha y música contemporánea, para alegrar el ambiente.

Impresiones personales

Fue impresionante ver el nivel de motivación y organización, la diversidad de organizaciones medioambientales y la participación en cada una de ellas. Que toda la actividad se desarrollara de forma pacífica, sin accidentes y con seguridad. Todos movidos por el mismo objetivo: rescatar el pueblo de Lützerath y detener la minería del carbón por el daño ecológico que causa al planeta.
